Although effective in preventing sprained ankle, but there was concern that the use of ankle brace or ankle often referred to precisely trigger guard knee injury. Ankle brace is considered to restrict the movement of the ankle, so it can not compensate for the movement of the knee,but  the Concerns are now disproved by the results of the research Timothy A McGuine, sports health experts from the University of Wisconsin. The study, published in the American Journal of Sports Medicine involves around 1,500 athletes aged high school basketball. Among the 750 athletes who wear the ankle brace, only 27, who sprained his ankle. This suggests that these accessory effectively prevent ankle injuries, as in the group who did not wear the ankle brace 78 is twisted there.The risk of knee injury also did not experience significant improvement due to the use of the ankle brace. In the group who wear, knee injuries suffered by athletes while in the group of 15 who were not on the injury suffered by the 13 athletes.
 In other hand  the ankle brace is still difficult to make athletes move and hold their knees and increase the risk of injury to the knee, and that material is too hard , it is better advised to practice and warm up before the match started more leverage because it can reduce the effect of injury is more serious and more free to move even without ankle brace.
